Unusual colour and apparent size of the object

  Could this be an artifact of the photography, rather than an astronomical object. It seems incomplete, unless it is a meteorite trail perhaps.

  Hi there. This is a satellite trail. You might see a few green ones especially, as the brightness in the green bit is one of the things we use to select things we think are galaxies (not always successfully, clearly!)
  You can mark this one as an artifact instead.
