Exceptional disturbance or something else?

    I've been alerted to #satellitetrail and #diffractionspike but given the diffuse, non-linear property to the arc in the image I'd say it had the characteristic of disturbance, but on an astonishing scale.

    Click on the reference number under the picture.
    Click on 'Galaxyzoo examine'
    Click on 'View on Skyserver'
    click on the image
    click on 'get image' to the left of the page et voila !
    Mind you this only works for SDSS pictures. Unfortunately nothing like this is available for the Hubble pics.
