Traffic lights.

Three green-orange-red lines in parallel; is this a distant galaxy seen through some kind of lensing effect caused by the galaxy in the lower right, or is it the galaxy in the lower right being distorted? What causes traffic lights like this? I've seen them on the edges of pictures before but this is the first time I've seen one centre stage and I realised I have no idea what it is.

Looks like an #artifact to me except, as you said, the rightmost source does look like a galaxy.
