This is a galaxy, even though SkyServer is doubtful. Or, is it?

  To me, this picture looks like a spiral falling headlong into an elliptical. SDSS did not measure a spectrum for either. Is it possible that the objects are near, in the Milky Way, with a Jupiter-like gassy planet falling into a Sun-like star? Guess I need to understand how SDSS was done, what instruments were used, and what kinds of artifact were possible.
