overlap or mergers?

Are the galaxies surrounding the central spriral merging or just overlapping in the image?

I think the subject galaxy is the one in the very center: it is a tiny blue #starforming dot. I think the spiral to the bottom is #overlap -ping it or vice-verse. Nice collection of images!

The subject galaxy appears to be #overlap -ped by a larger spiral, making it look like a #starforming region. Nice collection of galaxies
