Curious ring at the centre of this galaxy.

The centre of this galaxy appears to have a ring structure, particularly apparent when the image is inverted. Is this normal? Or perhaps just an artifact of the photograph?

It's an artifact afaik and visible on many galaxies with such brighter centres
