agz0004ft1 flare?

  Can't work out what's causing the bright flash here, and if it is a galaxy or something is it interacting with the one at centre?

  I'm not sure if the bright thing at left is a photographic artifact. The nucleus (if it really is a galaxy) looks way too bright, the disc appears curved and there's a sort of X-shape I'm not familiar with, but have heard of. Maybe it's a lot closer than the centre galaxy (with the dust lane). I just wondered if anyone could provide a detailed explanation.
  Also, is the centre galaxy a spiral or elliptical? - hard to tell.
