Brilliant Collision

I spent a while staring at this image. There's a huge debris tail, probably spanning tens - if not hundreds - of thousands of light years. I'm especially fascinated with the fluorescent blue-green shocked gas "bullets" tearing across the front. Fantastic display of light.

I wonder what it's to be on the inside of that? Are starbursts roasting whole civilizations alive? Are solar systems, whole civilizations, being flung out into space? Are atmospheres alight with aurorae? What does the night sky look like from in there? What an incredible event we're seeing from a far distance.

Wow. Thanks. What a beautiful and fantastic image. What incredible detail too.
Do you know I can add this image to my collection?

    Oops, no idea !
I had to do some recentering to get them both in the picture, so I don't have an AZG number.
