Question On Examing Objects

  • StereoSpace by StereoSpace

When I see an interesting object like this, I sometimes want to view the larger image. There's a logo that tells me what database it was taken from, but it does not link to the image or give any identifying information. Without always pushing the image out for discussion, is there a way to view this image in its database?

Yes, if it is an SDSS picture, you can get to the wider view.
Click on the ref.number, then click on Galaxyzoo examine, then on View on SkyServer. On this page click on navigate (left of page) and then on 'Get image. Then you can zoom in or out and navigate.
    Hope this helps ! 😄

But I can only seem to do that when I push the image out for discussion. Within the classifying screen I don't seem to have any of those options. That was my question, how do I do that from within that classifying screen?

BTW, thanks for all your time and help you give answering questions.

Oh, sorry. Misunderstanding here ! ;-D
You cannot go to any additional info before you've finished your classification. That is an executive decision ;-D. It's been done so everyone has the same info when classifying. And also because they want purely visual classifications.
ps : glad to be of help !
