Very prominent center with embedded dark spots

The center of this system is notable for a nearly perfect center bright area that appears to be sharply edged with respect to the outer region of the central bright area. It is so well defined that it could appear (as example only) that a star is in the foreground. In addition, there are at least four (4) small dark regions just inside the edge of the central bright area. They line up nicely, starting from the darkest spot the bottom and then counterclockwise up the right edge.

This object is a foreground star. The colors andthe black spots are all optical artifacts
