    Sorry, can't post the image, but if you follow the link and click on "get image" you should understand the title more easily. The target galaxy seems to have been the serpentine looking one whose spiral turns back on itself and which you can describe however you like. There may be some interaction with another galaxy at the bottom of the screen in the image that you originally posted on; that's your call:-) The big black strip up the left hand side is probably the edge of the FOV of the telescope (and becomes the right hand side of the image as it is rotated). Since the area wasn't imaged there are no images; I don't really think that this is the edge of the universe. Not ...reeeeally...?

    I agree, that is a #merger.: The spiral galaxy is disturbed and its arm is stretched towards the galaxy on the bottom of the image. (There is a star, which overlaps the spiral).
    As you know, but it should mentioned, that there are some GZ images, which are incomplete, but in SDSS they aren't. This case is a different one.
    Maybe the JWST will find the edge of the observable universe! 😃
