Asteroid?

    #asteroid ?

At first I though this was a satellite trail, but it seemed different to most. It reminds me in many ways of 2007 WD5 in the Sloane archive.

    Could be a fast asteroid

I have literally just picked up and read an informative pm from a senior member who gave me a few further pointers on 'walking' around an asteroid. As a result, I could find no other tracks. Would that definitely discount this as a possible asteroid, or not?

If you look to the north east on sky server there is a blue line exactly the same as these but it is at a different angle.

A so long track can't be an asteroid: #satellitetrail

Remember the average trail of the moon is 0.49 arcmin during a SDSS filter exposure of 54s.

It's less than half the trail (1.2 arcmin) we see for AGZ00015kb !

In SDSS we don't have an image of an asteroid passing below the moon orbit... The closest approach during the SDSS survey was Toutatis in September 29, 2004 within 4 lunar distances but in the southern sky invisible to Apache observatory.
