  #question what is this? Is it just a #spiral with a #halo? Or #distorted after merger? Or 1 arm spiral?

  It's likely a #lenticular galaxy, a #diskgalaxy without obvious spiral arms (it may be a #Sa spiral, with an unusually small bulge). These are not particularly rare, but are often very hard to tell from ellipticals, just by how they appear
