Merger?

Kind of looks like a merger. What is the reason to the almost violet light emitted from the thing next to the galaxy?

NED: KUG 2337+157 ... <- no redshift. notam_word <- not a merger. Starburst? Overlap? Minkowski object?

Perhaps a small dwarf galaxies is merging with it larger neighbor, similar to the Sagittarius dwarf galaxy and the Milky Way.
