Is there a spiral arm pattern?

Yes. But it's not all that obvious, and definitely seems disturbed, possibly because the galaxy is involved in a #merger, or collision (though with what? that's not clear).
What is interesting is the #purple blob: is it a #starformingregion? or a background #quasar? or a foreground star?
