    As an interested reviewer on Galaxyzoo but by no means a space geek, I would like more explanation of each image. For example in this image, which blob is the asteroid and what are the other bright spots in the image.

    Welcome to the Zoo !

    The asteroid is the blue/red/green thingy to the left of the central galaxy. The other bright objects are foreground stars from our galaxy.. The bright spiky object is also astar. The colors, spikes and weird center are all optical artifacts.
