Markarian 0799a is the south-east Knot (the big blue at10 o'clock) shows very strong Wolf-Rayet emission features is paired up with NGC 5430, A #SBb-type . They are situated in the Ursa Major Constellation. Discovered March 17 1790 by William Herschel. Chinese astronomers were thought to have discovered a supernova north east of the nucleus in 1997.
