The bright lightsource is located in the galaxy image. is likely to be a supernova or quasar?

There is a quasar close by but I think this maybe a star only. Check NED

Is that an optical artifact ? Lots of close objects

The spiky object to the left is a foreground star from our galaxy. The colors, rings and spikes are optical artifacts.
