Distorted Spiral

  The V formation at the bottom left of the galaxy could be the source of the distortion.

  I'm not sure about that, the spiral seems to be much closer than any other objects in this picture. Everything else looks a bit redder, although I'm not sure what wavelengths are shown in these images.
