How to classify AGNs?

I'm still not sure when it comes to the question AGN or not? This one looks covered in gas clouds but a faint bar and nucleus is visible also in the UV band. Good sign for an AGN?
I'd be interested if there is a general appoach on finding AGNs on Galaxyzoo for those cases where you dont have a spectrum. Can anybody explain?

AGN can be difficult to spot without extra data such as a spectrum (and even then they can be missed). If you definitely see what looks like a bright star right at the heart of a galaxy it may very well be an AGN (though it could also be a nuclear star cluster), but lack of an optical feature doesn't mean it's not there.
If you think you've spotted one, though, do tag it here! 😃
