green 'dust'

    I don't think this green 'dust' is because of poor photo quality, it's more concentrated on the right.

    Nice catch! This is definitely a star-forming region in our own galaxy. If you zoom out in the SDSS Navigate tool, you see this:

    To zoom out :
    Click on the ref. number - Click on GalaxyZoo examine - Click on 'View in Skyserver' - Click on the little image - and click on 'Get Image' (on the left side of the page.
    Here you can zoom in and out.
