can anyone identify this? Is it even a galaxy?
Too me it looks like there is a galaxy behind this blue ring with multiple bulges

    Definitely a galaxy !
You could go for irregular or alternatively a very disturbed, barred spiral.
The blue clumps are star forming regions in this galaxy.
    Gorgeous ! 😃

It is a Irregular galaxy, the blue is star forming regions, and you are rite it looks like there might be another galaxy behind it.

the blue clumps are like star nursery's then?
Is there a reason why the bar is so out of the center?

The galaxy is very disturbed, but even when zooming out I can't see an obvious suspect.
Could be the result of a fly-by !

I see the string of #blue_beads as foreground, with the disk galaxy behind; may or may not be merging or otherwise associated.
