Core of galaxy out of place

The core of the galaxy is off center and seems to be merging with a big glowing object, possibly a neutron star or a small galaxy

It's almost like a multiple overlap – red galaxy on greenish galaxy on grey galaxy — but if so, then the accidental line-up is amazing!

The red and green object is a foreground star overlapping the central galaxy. The colors are optical artfacts.

I was about to correct my post and say 'red star on green star'. The green effect is certainly remarkable.
