strange blue dot within a galaxy

  Anyone know what this could be? Maybe a star directly in front of the galaxy?

  It could be, but more likely it's either a mis-alignment (the data from the 'blue' filter are not quite properly aligned with those from the other two), or a 'blue clump' of some kind in the object itself, slightly offset from the center. Also, the whole thing could be just a star.
