What do we suppose these guys are doing? Lensing? Something else? I'm not sure what to think.

just a galaxy but has some 2 kind cool artifacts either side

The two objects are foreround stars from our galaxy.

This image has 3 galaxies in it. One galaxy is seen edge on; the other 2 galaxies appear above and below the edge on galaxy.
