Could be overlap. The bright one does seem to be in the foreground.

The bright round object is a foreground star from our galaxy. But did you mean separately from that?

Whatever it is, it's strange. I could be an #overlap, with the horizontal stuff being in the foreground (because the 'dust' crosses the background Eos well away from the center), or a merger (though quite how you could get a #merger and one galaxy remain a nice-looking Eos is hard to image), or even perhaps #polarringgalaxy.

I found it difficult to classify, but I am not very experienced. Star is quite obvious, it does even have annoying artefact. It seems there are two galaxies (horizontal + vertical). Who knows... We need better instruments or better exposures 😉

It could be a polar ring galaxy !

But don't feel bad ! Just classify it as well as you can!

    Every classification is valuable !

    Happy hunting ! 😉
