Galaxy with 2 near parallel red streaks.

  Saw this galaxy and became intrigued. I'm not sure exactly what the 2 red streaks are, and wanted to know if someone out there with more knowledge/equipment could help identify what is in this picture.

  In this case, I think the red streaks are diffraction spikes, from a very bright star in an adjacent field (you can see these in the SDSS Navigate tool)
