Supernova maybe.

  • RayGeorge by RayGeorge

near the middle there is a smaller looking galaxy which has a blueish dot at the top of it. I would like to know what this may be, I have seen this once before and someone said it might be a supernova. anyone keen to say 😃

As it's a Hubble image, it wouldn't be neither a supernova nor nebula. These all simply appear to be over exposed stars, the blue dot is an imaging artifact which is produced when exposing stars. The only oddity may be the central mass, which appears to be surrounded by gas however I wouldn't be confident in classifying it as galaxy.

I don't think these dots are stars. Distant galaxies fo me. The blue dot is indeed an artifact..
