    They are most likely glitches in the imaging of the galaxy, but personally they look the slightest bit like an Einstein Cross.

    I don't think this is either an Einstein cross or an artifact -- I think it's just clumps of intense star formation in the galaxy. Those will show up pretty strongly in blue in the CANDELS images. Interesting!

    Oh- I always assumed that they were just brighter parts of the blue static.
