Hi Draculashyguy and welcom to the Zoo
The bright, spiky object is indeed a foreground star from our galaxy. The colors, spiks and weird center are all optical artifacts.
But, please, always classify the object in the center of the image, even if it is the most boring one ! ;D

This star looks so cool. It is round in the middle and has very cool colors. The object in the center is round,smooth and very dim compare to the bright blue star to the right. Cool image.
