Which part of picture does one use?

  I analysed the central object but on the left there are two galaxys that are very close, are they merging and should I have commented on them?

  Hello and welcome Faith 😃

  You did the right thing - only classify the object at the center.

  If you see something odd in the image, then just pop over to Talk to post a comment on it - someone will have a look. In this case it looks like 2 foreground stars, the alignment could just be by chance.
