Which object is at question.

I have run across this before and feel compelled to get it resolved. I have always assumed that the object I am answering questions about is the object centered in the view. This view contains an object (a very curious one) that is much more prominent than the central object. I just want to verify that I should be basing my answers on the central object.

Hi HarleyDave,
Always classify the object directly at the center - ignore all other objects!
In this case the object at the center is a smooth, inbetween galaxy 😃

And the bright spiky object is a foreground star from our galaxy. The colors, spikes and weird center are all optical artifacts. 😄
