2 galaxies or just 1

  There is one round Galaxy in the center of this picture, but on the bottom right there is what appears to be a spiral galaxy with 2 spread out arms and a very defined bulge in the center. Are these two galaxies merging or are ther just two galaxies that happen to be in the same picture?

  Only ever classify the object directly at the center, but you are more than welcome to discuss any other object in the image here in Talk.

  Looking at the image I would say the two galaxies are unconnected - there is no interaction between them.
