Star merger or creation?

I can't tell if this is two stars merging or a new star forming.

Definitely not two stars merging ! I'd go for a very disturbed barred spiral and the blue dots are active star forming areas in the galaxy.

I just see one disturbed galaxy. Disturbed by what ? I don't know! ;D
