Disturbed spiral arms?

Are the arms disturbed or is the back arm just an odd angle?

in addition to the two clear arms there are other #disturbed arms

This #spiral would appear to have four arms, but there is a great deal of distortion.

It looks so asymethrical, the core is barely viewable but still can be seen.
