What is the bright green dot?

  This object seems curved and on the left side is a bright green dot. Any one know what could it be?

  Looking at the colour and angular nature of the green object, I would say it is an artifact that was not completely removed when the image was processed.
  As for the object at the center (the one you need to classify! - a clumpy irregular galaxy.
