Whats going on?

When I first looked at this galaxy I thought the bright object at 12 o'clock and sitting on the #inner-ring was just a foreground star, but it seemed a bit fuzzy for a star image. I checked on DR8 and discovered it is a galaxy. Its seems to be an early elliptical. the redshifts of both galaxies are almost identical except that the elliptical's redshift is slightly smaller which makes sense since it appears to be in front of the main galaxy. Could this elliptical be a satellite of the spiral? It doesn't seem to be a collision or other type of interaction as I do not see any obvious distortion of the spiral, but who knows/
