A Voorwerpje?

What is the object to the left of the star? Could it be a Voorwerpje?

Hi CeciliaB,

Are you referring to the blue bits in the central galaxy? Those are regions of intense star formation - so no voorwerpje - sorry!

Here is the galaxy in its entirety - the orientation is slightly different but you can see it clearer.

Always classify the object in the center of the image, even if it is the most boring one ! 😉
