What's the worm like green thing on the left side of the image

  I saw this worm like green thing on the left side of the image, next to the object to be classified, and wonder what it is.

  I love your description! The green worm is an optical artifact caused by imaging, so it is not real. We seem to see a lot of them in the DECaLS images - not too sure what caused this particular one though!
