Is this a ring bar arc?

I struggle with determining an arc, even after reading some of the other threads on identifying them. The SW quadrant appears to be an arc, and not an untidy spiral arm.

    Hi @uwfshane,

Firstly, I would avoid using the classical terrestrial compass points of N, E, S and W to describe locations, as on a astronomical maps E is actually W and visa versa!

It can be confusing so we have always found it easier to use clock points (e.g 7, 9 etc..) to describe the location of objects, so everyone can easy pinpoint the object in question.

I guess you are referring to the 'arc' going from 3 to 6 on the outside of the galaxy? That is a spiral arm. Arcs will always be a different colour from the lensing galaxy.
