Purple patch

there's a faint purple patch at 4oclock here, which looks to have moved to a close 3oclock position when viewed in SDSS, is that an asteriod or something else?

That's a very good spot - I might have missed that. I would guess that it's an asteroid; I see it in the DECaLS g-band and r-band images, although it moves position between the two, and I don't see it at all in z-band. I don't see it in any of the SDSS images I downloaded, though, although the color image seems to have something very faint near the general position.
