Thanks! Also, I was curious about this other object I found. It looks like a typical elliptical galaxy but it has two large 'arms' or formations pushed out on one side in a 'C-shape' with nothing else around to explain it. What causes this sort of formation in a galaxy?
For the life of me, I cannot get this image to display, so I just have the URL to copy-paste, sorry.

Yes, I can't get the image to post, either. Maybe part of Galaxy Zoo is down for a while. It is a starburst galaxy, and such long arms indicate a recent merger. It has an active nucleus, eating lots of hydrogen.
Here is the image from SDSS

It is producing radio waves, as this list from NED indicates.

Ah, I didn't think to look at the object in another survey. The more I think about it, the more the physics of a merger make sense to me. What threw me off is the almost perfect symmetry of the central portion of the object, when most merged galaxies I've seen look really messy. Thanks for clarifying some of that.

image won't post
so I am trying C_cld's address
Image doesn't post. The %2B has changed to + after I inserted it into Insert Image
ht tp://www.galaxyzoo.org.s3.amazonaws.com/subjects/decals/standard/J082432.27+262820.1_standard.jpeg
Try posting image using IMG, use address that c_cld gave me, that works.
IMG SRC="" WIDTH="600" (enclosed in pointy brackets)
IMG SRC="http://www.galaxyzoo.org.s3.amazonaws.com/subjects/decals/standard/J082432.27%2B262820.1_standard.jpeg" WIDTH="600" (enclosed in pointy brackets)
try again, right click on image and put into IMG, well that works
right click on image and enter into Insert Image, Image address is correct when pasted. Image address gets changed when OK is pressed, and the image does not post.
I'll try to change it by editing inside the brackets, by changing + to %2B, yes that works

I'd better post this on the problems page.
