faint halo

It looks like a faint halo around the galaxy. Looked in the SDSS but I didn't see anything. Could be an artifact ?

It looks real. It is quite a marked halo. As you say, too faint in SDSS . Dusty spectrum with hydrogen emissions trying to peek through. Nothing interesting in NED
Put in Objects that need more research. http://talk.galaxyzoo.org/#/boards/BGZ0000004/discussions/DGZ0000ycq

Can't get it into objects that need more research. Always have trouble with computers.

Does seem faintly visible in SDSS image, ring with outer edge overlapping the star on the left, might be a collisional ring?

I am wrong. It is probably one of the tidal debris images that were are hopefully looking for. #tidal_debris
