    I think its an asteroid its shows up on skyview but not sdss. I thought I'd let you have a look.

    Nice find!

    It is the right colour for a supernova. Nothing in SDSS. Nothing in NED.

    I can't see the blue/green separation typical of an asteroid. There is a slight chance that the image was taken when the asteroid wasn't "moving", eg just before retrograde motion. Let me look for another asteroid nearby. No, a nearby asteroid shows the normal blue/green colour http://legacysurvey.org/viewer?ra=172.8161&dec=2.0933&zoom=16&layer=decals-dr2

    Previously seen it, but SN could be ruled out after checking absence in g-band.

    Please double check again and consider a cosmic ray hit (squared green spot) 😃
