Merging?

  I'm looking at the top of the central image. On the left is an object that looks like it MIGHT be merging - but I'm not sure.
  What should I be looking for to tell? Should the images be right on top of each other? Should they both be clear spirals? Or is did I classify it correctly?

  Hi EsmeWeatherwax, the object at 11 o'clock is a star in our galaxy, so it can't merge with a galaxy.
