merging?

  Hi, im new at this. Ive noticed the "eye"of the galaxy its irregular. It seemed to me that it could be the final stage of merging galaxys. Was I right?

  The bright object, above the galactic centre, is classified as a galaxy in SDSS, but I'm not so sure. It looks like a foreground star to me.
  So, I wouldn't classify this one as a merger.
