smooth or edge on spiral

Although the major attitude of this galaxy's appearance is smooth, it also seems very plausible that it is an edge-on picture of a spiral shape. Even looks like a cluster in the middle.
I choose smooth as the classification. Would you?

If it is thin, it is classified as having features. It is an edge-on. The ends are too pointy to be an elliptical.
