Clumpy is a term for very young galaxies that are still forming and have no structure. see

This is the first clumpy object that was clearly clumpy not just some sort of imaging artifact and clumpy wasn't an option

Would I classify this as clumpy? Probably not, though it could be classified as clumpy. Clumpy galaxies are seen in the Hubble Space Telescope study, and they are far away. There would be very few in the DECaLS or SDSS images, so they are not an option for these two studies.
For me, it would be details, no spiral, ring.
