Blobs of light?

I think it's one of those blob galaxies with a chain? How do I get to those questions? I feel like I'm classifying it wrong. #questions

Hi TheSlyKnight and welcome to the Zoo
This is actually a simulated galaxy from the Illustris data set (more info here : https://blog.galaxyzoo.org/2015/09/21/new-images-for-galaxy-zoo-part-2-illustris/ )
And in these images blue blobs mean active star forming areas in the galaxy.
Happy hunting ! 😄

Wow, I just read about it. That's really interesting. So, how would you recommend I classify this so I'd be able to have a better idea for future images?

Recommendations are that you muddle through it on your own.

What zoob means to say is that there is no correct way to classify. If there is a diversity of opinions, that means that the galaxy doesn't fit easily in a category, and that is information in itself.
