Smooth cigar shape vs disk on edge?

I've been classifying these types of pictures as smooth and cigar shaped, even though I'm not sure if it's just a blurry image of a disk edge-on. Is that the right way to classify?

Yes, another hard one. It has pointy ends, so I would features, and edge-on. But if different people classify in different ways, it indicates that there is a problem, and that is information too.
